Frequently Asked Questions
If you've made it this far, you probably have a fairly good idea of what Thunder & Flash Marketing is all about. However, if you've got some specific questions, our FAQ below might be helpful. If not, just get in touch and we'll happily tell you more.
How does a marketing collective work?
The inner workings of a marketing collective
- A marketing collective is a group of freelancers or specialists, each highly skilled and experienced in their own field.
- A marketing collective isn't setup quite like an agency and instead members of the collective treat each retainer or project on a contract-by-contract basis.
- The benefits of working with a collective, rather than a stereotypical marketing agency, are flexibility, affordability, high-quality of service, and agility.
- A marketing collective is usually managed by a project management specialist, who coordinates project and retainer opportunities from the initial enquiry, selecting members of the collective based on the needs of the client.
- Marketing collectives are a growing trend in the marketing industry, because they leverage the shifting priorities of clients around cost and flexibility.

Who will I deal with on a day to day basis?
Communications at Thunder & Flash Marketing
- Every account is managed by Ross, our Founder. He is the first point of contact from the point of enquiry, right through to ongoing delivery.
- Collective members on our client's project teams don't just shy away though - they are brought into the conversation as and when required.
- Ross, our Founder, coordinates project strategy, manages our client's relationships, leads on reporting and manages the project team delivering behind the scenes, ensuring everything aligns with the client's objectives.

What if I don't have an objective, or an obvious marketing goal?
Keeping the focus on your business objectives
- It's not uncommon to know you need marketing to grow, but don't really know what your objective is. Don't worry, that's why you speak with marketing professionals.
- Sometimes, it might feel like you don't have an objective, but you know you want to 'grow your sales to £XYZ in a year'. That IS your objective - our job is to work out how marketing can help you achieve it.
- You'll be looking for marketing partners for a reason and sometimes that might be because 'I want to run some Google Ads'. We're here to help you find out WHY and work out what you actually want to achieve.
